Dungeness Crab Salad

dungeness crab salad There is nothing better than a Dungeness crab salad served on a bed of greens. It is a meal in itself.


The crab is so succulent you won’t be sorry you tried this recipe. You can usually get crabmeat at your favorite supermarket or any seafood store. It is more readily available in the winter and spring months.





Recipe Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb crabmeat
  • 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbs light olive oil
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbs finely minced green onions
  • 2 tbs. Fresh parsley, basil or chives, minced
  • salad greens
  • Tabasco, just a dash
  • salt to taste



Directions For Making The Dungeness Crab Salad

  1. In a mixing bowl, season the crabmeat with lemon juice, salt, Tabasco, oil and the herbs you want. Toss lightly and let stand 20 minutes.
  2. Just before serving, drain excess liquid from the crab meat and toss with just enough mayonnaise to lightly coat the meat.
  3. Serve on a bed of salad greens.

This recipe is just delicious and will serve 4 people. Of course it depends on how hungry everyone is!
