Oregon Coast Fishing

You can’t beat Oregon Coast fishing or crabbing. Whether you are a serious fisherman or a vacationer wanting some adventure, the Oregon coast has plenty of fishing opportunities.

Gone fishing

Oregon is known for its many rivers running through its state parks adjacent to the coastline. These river mouths, bays and harbors provide multiple areas for an avid fisherman whether they are seeking king salmon or sturgeon that are older than most people fishing.

If you’re an inexperienced fisherman but want to gain experience or just enjoy yourself without coming back to camp empty handed, most coastal cities have small businesses housing fishing guides and charters.

These experts will take you out to find some of the northwest staples such as Salmon, Sturgeon and Steelhead. There are also guides provided for crabbing, or crab fishing for Dungeness crab, a northwest staple shellfish. Always be sure you have made proper reservations for your Oregon Coast fishing trip and have received the appropriate licensing for your trip.
